The main objective of German-Ukrainian fund is to strengthen the competitiveness of ukrainian MSMEs by providing loans to finance investments and working capital through selected partner banks. Since this goal can only be achieved under condition of stable running and developed banking system an important task for GUF is also support of banking sector development, that can ensure a suitable long-term financing of MSMEs at a reasonable price.
Pursuant to the decision of the Supervisory Board GUF concluded a partnership agreement with CREDITWEST BANK.
Lutz Horn-Haacke was appointed the new director of the KfW Office in Ukraine.
In cooperation with the Project USAID “Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine” GUF representative participated in the workshop (7-8 April 2015) to provide pilot cities (17 cities of Ukraine, mostly regional centers, including Kyiv) recommendations on the best technical and economical solutions for the design and justification of clean energy projects in key sectors of urban economy and the choice of priority sources of investment for project implementation.
